MLBB: MPL PH claims all our focus this week

Although ID is still on a break, and MY begins one, we still have a lot to watch from PH this coming weekend, as things begin to heat up in the MPL.

It has been a few weeks now since the Mobile Legends Professional League started up a thirteenth season in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. While this coming weekend will see MY take a short break, with ID still taking their two weeks all at once, PH chugs along after taking a week off recently. However, even with two regions out of the picture, PH has a lot to look forward to, with a few teams dominating and the rest of the pack trying their best to keep up.

ONIC riding high again

Regular Season’s in the MPL can be a time for teams to test out new strategies and heroes, but more importantly, it allows the teams a chance to form a foothold from which they can launch into the Playoff stage. ONIC Philippines has really taken that opportunity, dominating like they have not done in some time – especially with Duane “Kelra” Pillas now in their ranks. Having joined in February, Kelra is already showing off his immense talents as a gold laner, while the rest of ONIC back him up. As we head into Week 4, ONIC faces two extremely tough challengers, in the form of AP.Bren and ECHO, and we will be watching both series very closely.

April 13

  • AP.Bren versus ONIC PH

April 14:

  • Blacklist International versus AP.Bren
  • ONIC PH versus ECHO

While ECHO and ONIC may be fairly evenly matched, the M5 World Champions have already blasted off with an unbeaten six-series streak so far. This weekend will also see them taking on what seems to be an underwhelming Blacklist International lineup, who are struggling to make ends meet. While Blacklist has often had a choppy Regular Season, playoffs have been where they shine – but if they continue to struggle, there remains a chance that they do not make it to the playoff stage in Season 13.

With ONIC PH looking as though they are back on track to challenge for the MPL PH throne, and the likes of ECHO and AP.Bren continuing to dominate, and the Regular Season is definitely heating up. But, with four weeks still to come, as we always know with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, anything can happen.
